WE SHARE A GREAT INDUSTRY AND 2017 IS THE YEAR WE GET A BRILLIANT NEW ONLINE TV CHANNEL TO TELL OUR STORY
News, features, events and stories about wind energy – an industry, a passion, a movement and a lifestyle choice on the cutting edge of technology that is changing the world, blade by wind blade, for the betterment of mankind.
It has been said that we have two simple choices with wind – we can ignore its incredible force or we can choose to catch some of that energy and use it to our benefit.
Wind.TV choose to lift our hands and help catch that ‘free as air’ power.
And so, we offer a new innovative addition to the wind energy story – the world’s first totally independent Internet TV channel dedicated purely to wind.
WHAT WE DO
In short, WIND.tv is out there on YOUR behalf. We send our journalists, presenters and filmographers on a mission to tell the story of the great advancements in wind as they are happening. We show the sheer beauty and naturalness of wind energy, we tell of the business highs and lows, we tell the human stories and we interview interesting people doing interesting wind related things – wherever in the world they may be.
We will partner, hassle, cajole, pester, and be friends with everyone who has an interest in wind. Why? Because we want to make films, features and stories about some of the incredible things that take place every day in our industry.
Our goal is to make the best television possible – a channel that believes in the old ideals to inform, educate and entertain.
HOW WE GOT HERE
We have an undying and natural passion for renewable energy. The concept of taking energy from the air around us, we feel, has shone a beacon for the open-minded, the entrepreneurial, the interesting and the pioneering. As journalists, we can’t think of better people to mess around with.
Regardless of how we all found ourselves in the world of wind energy, our mish-mash of journalists, old and new, all share a simple idea – to run a TV channel that hates restriction, loves positivity and demands watchability!
WHOSE RUNNING THIS THING?
Wind.TV is edited by journalist James Black, a former long-term features writer at the Daily Mail – and by a pure twist of fate, the guy who invented the world’s first ever fuel price comparison site (petrol busters).
BEST JOB ON THE PLANET?
We think so! Ok, most days the office is based at Starbucks or some cheap hotel lobby, the studio tends to be anywhere that will let us in, and the pay sucks – but who cares about that when you can get to see so many cool things and meet so many interesting people. AND… we don’t have to sell our souls to do what we enjoy.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US
We’d like to say we don’t actually care too much what anyone thinks of us, but that’s not true.
When we get anything better than ‘Stupid Idea! Sure to Fail’ or ‘The Big Corporations will Crush You’ we’ll start compiling a list here (starts June 2017)
ENOUGH ABOUT US – WHAT DO YOU GET?
This is a serious point. If we want you to come spend a few minutes of your time with us every week we have to make you our personal A-Listers and get the Goodie Bags out:
We will not only go get the stories that are interesting and positive but we will work for the world of wind as if it were the last sane place on Earth (which it may actually be according to a straw poll we held on a boozy Friday night in a pub called ‘Litfass’ in Neidersachsen, Germany). We will treat our viewers as family, not customers, and will work with all organisations to tell their story and highlight how they are playing a part in the wind industry.
Of course, in typical journo fashion, if we can pull a few deals or tips that can help save the viewers a few dollars or cents for their organisations, or give you a great laugh on the way, then you will be the first to know.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
Add us to your favourites, and if we do something good – tell people!
Follow us on Twitter @WindTV
If you have a story that you reckon we would find interesting let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you want to make/present a film/feature/news item for Wind.tv then contact James Black at email@example.com
If you run a business or organisation then let us know and we will add you to our directory free of charge. For a small charge we may also come and make a professional film about what you do. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
If you run a business or organisation then pull your finger out and help our filmographers make films and features by simply sponsoring their production(s). A package of five films made by Wind.tv filmographers about the great things happening in the wind industry would cost less than sending one of your staff to yet another semi-pointless overpriced conference and your organisation will be seen by everybody that watches those films … forever. That’s not just sponsorship, that’s intelligent marketing. Contact email@example.com
If you want to partner with us in any way, then contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Carry a camera with you! You never know when you might get to film something interesting that we can show to the world! And if it is interesting, let us know at email@example.com
