The UK’s First Wind Farm Celebrates A Quarter Of A Century Of Energy Production

Nice short film from the UK renewable energy company Good Energy, the present day owners of the Delabole Wind Farm in Cornwall – the UK’s first commercial onshore wind farm.

The wind farm, which began life as a whimsical idea at the breakfast table of local dairy farmers and landowners, the Edwards Family, has certainly put in a shift since its early days.

It is estimated to have produced enough energy during its 25 years that it is equivalent to making every person in the United Kingdom, all sixty-two million of them, a cup of hot tea for every single day of the year.

Happy Silver Anniversary Delabole Wind Farm – May You Have Many More Years Of Turning Wind Into Hot Cups Of Tea!
